AION (1990)

Riflettendo il loro più profondo interesse per la musica del primo Rinascimento, "Aion" è caratterizzato da canti Gregoriani ed elementi barocchi, ed è stato registrato utilizzando autentici strumenti del tempo, come gli hurdy gurdy e le cornamuse.
L'album comunque non è da considerare una 'ricreazione' purista del passato, quanto un esplorazione del modo con cui la musica può superare le barriere del tempo.
La copertina è un particolare de "Il giardino delle delizie - The Garden of Earthly Delights " di Hieronymous Bosch, 1503-1504.

Reflecting their deepening interest in early Renaissance music, "Aion" featured Gregorian chants and baroque elements, and was recorded using authentic 'early music' instruments, including hurdy gurdy and bagpipes.
But the album was less a purist's recreation of the past, than an exploration of the way music can transcend time.
The cover is a particular of Bosch's "The Garden of Earthly Delights", 1503-1504.
